Whoshotthesheriff – Chase debut today at Carlisle

We have Whoshotthesheriff making his first appearance over fences today in the 12:50 novice chase at Carlisle for his seasonal debut. He has schooled well at home and goes well fresh, but as with most races atm its a hot looking contest and we hope he can make a safe and promising start to his chasing. Ridden by Sean Quinlan for Hambleton Racing. Later we have Mr Carbonator heading to Southwell AW for the 7:15. Stepping back up in trip will hopefully suit this tough little consistent horse well, finally getting some small relief from the handicapper of late, but again another competitive race. Ben Curtis rides for brothers Alan & David Fairhurst. Best of luck to all involved with them both and come home safe.

We had some nice promising starts in the novice hurdles yesterday at Weatherby from Arthur Mac(4th), Sunset West(3rd) and Kings Cave(4th), all runners home safe and sound. Niven was a touch disappointing with his jumping in the chase not being as fluent as it should have been following his sound schooling beforehand, but we will work on it for his return and he can hopefully bring his best out next time. Those of you with Sunset West on your list will be pleased to have 3 points to add to your 10 To Follow tally. Take a look at our PKR 10 To Follow website page for all your points winners to date.
