Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Wed 16th Aug…

Todays runner is Willing To Please, known as ‘Wendy’ in the yard. She runs at Beverly in the 3.45 H’cap with P J McDonald onboard for owners RedHotGardDogs , Alan & David Fairhurst. There’s 12 runners and she hasn’t a bad draw in no.4 so we will have our fingers crossed for her to get her nose out in front once again as she hit some good form this time last summer.

We have been lucky to welcome a good few new horses joining us over the past few weeks, one being Tidewell, a 4yr old gelding by Sixties Icon, seen below enjoying his freedom to the full out in the paddock!

Some other faces you may well be familiar with….

Hubbel Bubbel – in from his duties of supervising the mares and foals (a job he gave himself after repeatedly jumping in with them to ‘look after’ them!) He will be going novice hurdling this winter for owners Dave Carter & Marg Hodgson.

Bushypark – will be back for some more muddy marathon trips both over hurdles and fences as before. He very surprisingly has a share available to anyone looking for a fun partnership to join – please email pippakirby@icloud.com for more info.

The handsome head of 4yr old Gastonomy owned by John Cornforth & The Well Oiled Partnership

Our cute Cracksman colt foal ‘Whiskey’ above out of Chelenham Festival 3rd mare Rayna’s World, and ‘Lacy’ below. Our filly foal by Logican (a son of Frankel) who has now completely changed colour since being born 4 mths ago.

Ex Racers News

GORDALAN (above) has qualified for Horse Of The Year Show 2023 with Lynn Russell in a very hotly contested class of Retraining of Racehorses

Our retired Stable Star Lady Buttons has been smashing the ROR world and has taken the Championship at her very first try. Still shining like the star she has always been…..

Youngsters….

Here we have our group of 3yr olds enjoying getting maybe a bit too familiar with the jeep!

The mares and foals field chilling…..
