First Ride : First Win For Shay & Billian!!!

We had a fantastic evenings racing on Thursday with Shay winning on his first ride as an amateur aboard our ultra consistent PKR Club horse Billian at Chelmsford, just getting there by a hair at the line! Great to see the delight on Shay’s face and he had a great welcome back to the enclosure with his family and a bunch of the club members there to enjoy it with him. Local club member to the yard Ian Whitling had an insight into a days racing with us after jumping in the lorry with Katie to make the journey down to Chelmsford. Billian looked after Shay well, a perfect gent giving him a peach of a first ride, but also making him work for the win driving him to the post! No doubt Shay will be smiling for a while to come and possibly scrolling through the amateur race list for upcoming opportunities! We were lucky to have club member Judy Laycock there who shared some of the pics below with us…

We didnt finish there though, following this we had Robert Johnson at Thirsk winning for Victor Coglan ridden by Connor Beasley. He is in top form and is entered at Catterick for Monday to see if he can make it a treble!

Well done to Victor – leading him into the winners spot
Fresh faces….
Phil has been busy recently with buying a handful of new horses. Last week at the Newmarket breeze up sales he found 3 fillys to bring home for existing owners in the yard. Before that we had a Masar colt now named Parsons Meadow purchased at Doncaster Goffs for Simon Silcock and we also have Tommy Time bought from Punchestown Goffs by Andy Bradshaw who holds an entry for the bumper at Newcastle next week.

Foaling News…
Another Theatre was our second last due to foal and we are delighted to report her foal has arrived safely in the care of Throckmorten Stud. A cute chestnut filly by ‘Gentlewave’. Another Theatre is reported to be an exceptional mum, loving her new role. Its just Rayna’s World to go now, not due until June – fingers crossed for another safe arrival.

Our breakers continue their education in the experienced hands of Simon. Chico (above) is a very straight forward boy doing his long-reining work like a star pupil for his From Day One Partnership.

Magical Arthur aka Woody to his mates – taking it easy on Sunday!
