Today’s runners are both at Wolverhampton’s night meeting, 2 previous course winners Caracristi & Billian. First is Caracristi (below) who has actually won twice there, the last time giving today’s jockey Madi Patzelt her first winner. She clearly likes it there running on the AW under the lights, lets hope for a repeat tonight with the slight drop back in trip not thought to be an issue for her. Billian (above) runs in the lucky last at 9pm….lets hope the late night is worth it! He is a course & distance winner here last time out and has top jock Ben Curtis onboard. Best of luck to The PKR Racing Club (Billian) and Ace Bloodstock (Caracristi) for a great evenings racing and a safe return home.

No winners over the weekend but we did have some very promising runs. On Saturday at Newbury we were pleased to see Farhan coming an impressive 2nd in the Group 3 race under a top ride by Oisin Murpy for owners James & Susan Cookson. Not bad for his first run of the season and a Best Turned Out for Carolyn too – well done to all! Noonie showed great improvement for 2nd at Stratford on Sunday under Tommy in his second hurdles start for owner the Earl of Ronaldshay. Hopefully he can find confidence from this to build on next time too.

Turn Out Time!

We are beginning to see some of our winter racers getting turned out (with rugs on atm – its chilly up North!) for their summer breaks, and amongst them is Joe’s duo of star performers Lone Star & Micks Jet who have well and truly earn’t it. We got a little pic of the emotional separation…..!!!

Find Benny…

A bit of sad news now. Its a long shot but if any of you are local to us, please keep your eye out for Pippa’s much loved cat Benny. He has sadly gone missing and we are hoping someone has taken him in after maybe jumping in for a joyride in a delivery van – rather than the unmentionable not so lucky ending.

Rich Man Poor Man

Rich Man Poor Man continues to impress with his ROR career. He took the first Racehorse To Riding Horse qualifier for Horse of The Year Show at the weekend and a Royal International Horse Show ticket too – not a bad weekends work! Well done to owner Morean Hamilton and his producer/rider Kirstine Douglas.

Sexy Beast

Sexy Beast is under preparation for his ROR career and will be hoping to follow in Rich Man Poor Man’s hoof prints in the near future.

Robin Des Chapp is another lovely stamp of a horse, a half brother to Lady Buttons who would have made a great chaser if only his legs had been up to it. He is soon to be seen out on the ROR circuit with owner Cal Cunningham.

Little Bruce & Alsvinder (below) are looking very pleased to be out enjoy the summer grass together. They have struck up a lovely bro-mance and get on really well. Katie will enjoy having Alsvinder as a happy hacker and hopefully get him out to a few shows this summer, Bruce will be enjoyed by Kirby daughter Izzy during her summer hols, and i (Sarah) have plans to steel him for the odd hack with Alvinder and Katie when i get the chance!
