CHELTENHAM WINNER!!!!!!!!!

A picture that tells you everything!

We were so very happy to see Micks Jet first past the post yesterday, giving us and Joe Williamson our first Cheltenham winner! We have had some near misses, but to finally get a winner at THE National Hunt track is tremendous – and in such style too, she absolutely obliterated them for a 9 length win as a 66-1 shot in the mares bumper! She was actually bought at the Cheltenham Festival sales and held a 2nd in a point as her only previous form. This being her first run for us we were hopeful of a good education for her if nothing else – but she kicked it well and truly out the park! Huge congrats go to her owners The North South Flyers Syndicate and Joe Williamson who has literally not stopped smiling since – and rightly so as every jockeys dream has to surely involve winning here at such a prestigious track. She has duly earn’t herself a holiday now and we have a very exciting following season to look forwards to with her. Its great to be putting horses out for the summer knowing they have so much promise to come back in with – exciting times ahead! Thanks must also go to the top team at PKR behind it all too!

Earlier in the day Lone Star was 6th in the ultra competitive NAF challenger series mares hurdle final – losing a front shoe en route possibly hindering her somewhat. Still not a bad effort at all under Joe in such a top draw race from this super tough mare who has had an amazing season with 5 wins. She owes nobody anything and will soon be enjoying a holiday before seeing where her admirable progression takes her and owners Peter Rawcliffe, John & Ann Cornforth.

The day before we also had the grey Red Force One running at Cheltenham who came a respectable 5th in the hot h’cap, staying on well up the famous hill, a promising second start to his summer campaign.

A day that wont be forgotten…..
