Monday 6th News
The sun is shining and as usual we have had lots of horses turned out in several batches every morning and afternoon, they are loving their turnout, and back into the B&B at tea time as is still too cold and not enough Spring grass through to turn out full time. We still have about 15 horses ridden out each morning including the breakers and 3 year olds who are all now trotting or cantering away lightly. We’re really pleased with all of them and below is a photo of the two chestnut filles, Wynyard Icon and the Soldier of Fortune filly, taken a few days ago before we all started wearing the masks & gloves that we have had supplied. We’re taking precautions very seriously and doing what we can to prevent infection. These are very worrying times and we are missing our Owners visiting their horses…while trying to keep in touch with photos and videos as best we can. Thanks to many of you for your emails and texts, we know that you enjoyed our ‘Grand National dog race, and also Top Ville Ben in the Virtual National in which he ran a good race for 9th – Never have we all as a family been so excited watching a virtual race!
Keeping our spirits up here, there has been a couple smart new young horses arrive which is exciting – jumpers for next season, the geldings ‘Galardo’ and ‘The Mayne Man’ plus we have 2 further new ones arriving in the next few days.
We have updated our ‘for sale page’ today – a number of shares are still available in our foal due to Lady Westerner and Bucks Boum – eagerly awaited in 3-4 weeks – here is a photo of her attractive 2019 yearling colt, Spanish Buttons.
