Monday at Newcastle

All eyes on Stargazer today as he makes his seasonal reappearance

After a Saturday we’d rather forget ( apart from Shine Baby Shine’s excellent 2nd) we return to the flat today with our top performer, ‘Stargazer’ in the 5.45 at Newcastle. This is very much a warm up for bigger outings to come and although he’s plenty fit enough there will hopefully be more improvement again as the days warm up. The Mark Johnston horse looks lightly treated on its 5lb rise for a facile success latest and may be a tough nut to crack with a recent outing under its belt.

We were delighted with Shine Baby Shine at Southwell on Saturday evening, a close 2nd in a head bobbing finish, she will now revert to hurdles on some decent ground.

Saturday with Shine Baby Shine

Of the 2 at Doncaster, we were obviously very dissapointed but the ground would have been plenty quick enough for South Seas and Staplegrove did too much out in front.
