Lady Kyria wins at Newcastle

We had a winning day at the races yesterday courtesy of another ‘Lady’ , it was the turn of Lady Kyria for Hope Eden Racing, and the October Tattersalls purchased daughter of Holy Roman Emporer was always just getting on top under another superb ride from Tommy Dowson. She became our 7th winner from 14 runners, the horses are absolutely on fire and plenty of credit must go to our top team who behind the scenes continue to do  an amazing job. It was win number 40 of the current NH season and by far our best to date with another month to go.

We have always liked ‘Lady Kyria’  and she has been getting placed in novices before her handicap debut here, an opening mark of 100 looking fair, and winning by 3/4 length,  the handicapper had assessed her fairly. She appreciated the drying ground and will be keeping on going for now, she is a dual purpose filly and really looks to be getting the hang of it. With Lady Camelot and Lady Kyria winning this week let’s hope LADY BUTTONS can make it a hat trick next Thursday!

Today’s NH runner, Suggestion

I’s back to our favourite track today, Wetherby, and Suggestion flies the flag for the yard & his Owners, Red Cap Racing. He’s won twice at this venue but has crept up the weights recently and goes here off a mark of 120 so there can’t be much leeway. The Skelton favourite is solid but Suggestion looks in tremendous form and Tommy is riding out of his skin. Looking ahead to next season it’s likely we’ll see him try Novice chasing as he’s a big, scopey jumper.

Up at Newcastle we have Midas Maggie trying her luck again on the flat after a tardy start at Wolverhampton on Wednesday. Jodie’s favourite filly, she’ll be hoping that Maggie can show more improvement today and justify staying in training for her Owners, The Jessie’s.

Returning from a lay-off, Dazacam

Recent winner, Romeo Brown

Taking a nap, shavings all over!  2 year old Gowanlad

3 year old TWENTY SIX BLACK who’s new Partnership begins on Monday. A small number of shares remain in this well bred son of YEATS, he’s started being broken in and is an exciting Jumps prospect for the future. We’ve won with all our Yeats horses and really like them.
