Thursday’s News – and a double!

We love celebrating a double and Lady Camelot & Ice Galley both ran superbly at Market Rasen yesterday to add to our Season’s best tally. We also saw a promising run from Nemean Lion ( led till tiring after the 2nd last) and we are looking forward to running him again this Spring.

3rd time lucky for us after 2 seconds

Lady Camelot has been knocking at the door and the combination of quicker ground and the extra couple of furlongs seemed to play to her strengths – her flat speed shining through to just get the better in a photo finish. Her rivals looked two nice horses and it was good to see a filly beat  the boys! This was win number 51 of the season for Sean Quinlan and no doubt one of his closest finishes!

Ice Galley hadn’t progressed as we had hoped on the flat but he’s schooled well from day 1 over hurdles and following his wind op he has clearly benefited from the procedure. He always puts in a good performance fresh, and it was great to see him pick up from the last and sprint past his rivals, Tommy conjuring a late rally from him after being  hampered by a faller. No doubt Phil will be looking to turn him out again under a penalty.

Many congratulations to our Owners with their winners yesterday 🎉🏆 and success too for Jodie Hand who won Best Turned Out with Ice Galley and produced the three horses looking superb in the paddock. Just 17, Jodie is a very capable and hard working member of our Team.

Interestingly BOTH our winners are by top class DERBY winning stallions – Galileo & Camelot, and if you are interested in buying your own CAMELOT filly we will be adding a lovely yearling out of a winning & Listed placed dam to our for sale page later today, Phil bought her recently at Tattersalls. She is fantastic value to stay on the yard.

And now on to our three today at Newcastle….. check in shortly for a preview.
