Thankyou to Tom Richmond of the Yorkshire Post for this article today – he’s written a lovely piece.

We’re hoping to keep the winning ball rolling and have 4 horses bidding to make it win no. 51 for 2018 today at Newcastle. Racing starts early at 11.40 and we have Little Bruce and Skipthescales in the second race, Adam and Nathan who are good friends off the track but there will be no quarter given once they set off in the race. Both have good chances but neither are favourite, Sue Smith’s Absolutely Dylan has that honour.

Skipthescales, last time out winner

Later in the day Shine Baby Shine needs to step up from her last 2 starts but hopefully back in Mares company she will find life a bit easier. She seems to have been well supported this morning, we’d love to see her improve over this step up in trip.

We round off the day with newcomer MASTER NEWTON in the Junior Bumper. This good looking grey gelding has some classy flat breeding and has done plenty of homework. Nathan takes off a handy 5lbs in the soft ground.

We have tons of entries and will be previewing our Boxing Day runners by Christmas Eve – the website should start snowing and we’ll be bringing you our Traditional Happy Christmas video as always 🌲🌲🌲
