Thursday 20th & Hexham Winner!

Niven into the Winners

Luck can be what you make it and Owners John Birtles & Bill Allan went bravely back into Ownership with Niven after tragically losing two previous horses on the track. We’re so pleased they did as what an exciting performance we saw from this Novice this afternoon, jumping smoothly and efficiently  in the hands of Adam Nicol and securing his first win over fences on his debut for us. Phil bought him a couple of weeks ago from Ireland and he had some very solid form behind him – he’s certainly a progressive 6 year old who also stays a bit farther than this minimum trip.

Niven is back safe and sound and we’ll look forward to getting him out again sometime in January. The previous day we saw some good efforts from Fingal’s Cave & Mr Carbonator at Southwell, close up 3rd & 2nd and it was looking like our half century was going to come from one of them but in the end Carbonator just couldn’t get past his rival despite trying hard, and it was left to Niven today to plough through the mud and  make it 50 for PKR in 2018….. to date!

With the yard flying we’ve been having plenty of good press, and in tomorrow’s paper there should be this piece about Lady Buttons & Phil’s  upwardly  mobile curve! The link beneath may work….

We are also going to see a feature  in the Yorkshire Post tomorrow about Phil, Adam & Lady Buttons Christmas Racing options – Thankyou Tom for visiting our yard and putting this together.

With luck the website may SNOW tomorrow and we’ll be doing some extensive reports on the run up to our Boxing Day runners & beyond.
