Mr Carbonator looking well with Hannah

Its the turn of Mr Carbonator (Nottingham  3.50 ) and The Resdev Way (Musselburgh, 12.45) today and both have good chances of getting on the scoreboard.

The Resdev Way wins at Catterick

Up shortly will be ‘The Resdev Way’ under Adam Nicol – this does not look the strongest of races on paper and our runner would have a serious chance if a/ he stays the 2m 5f and b/if he hurdles fluently enough.  its all about the jumping round a quick track like this, and while he was better last time there is still room for lots of improvement. He’s had a good and consistent season on the flat and it would be great for him to add to his tally before the ground gets too soft. Best of luck to his Owners ‘Resdev’ who have four with us.

Mr Carbonator was really unlucky not to get his head in front last week, and he reappears quickly without the handicap rise. He will be ridden by the very capable Amy Waugh in this Ladies Event, and any rain fallen will be to his advantage and he stays every yard of this 1m 2f. He knows how to win races, and so does Amy – best of luck to his Owners on a pretty wet Autumnal day!

I think the least said about yesterday at Redcar the better, but we did see a reasonably pleasing mid field debut effort by ‘Archie’s Sister’ who will only improve for further as a 3 year old. She may have one more run this season before being put away, Phil will see how she comes out of the race.

The new stables are hours from being ready….the bedding is in, the buckets are filled, we are just waiting for all the doors to hang and then its a big move around with the youngsters coming in from the fields, into the barn and and out of the cold weather. We’ve been lucky as the Autumn has until today been pretty amazing from a horses point of view and our fields are dry and still quite green.
