Thurs 31st Aug…

3 runners at Sedgefield…

Todays racing is at another of our local tracks, Sedgefield. We have Nemean Lion in the 7pm ridden by Adam Nicol, having his first run since joining us from Joseph O’Brien’s at the Donny sales. He ran in a maiden hurdle over in Ireland but will hopefully learn plenty in his novice company today. Good luck to his owners The Well Oiled Partnership.

New recruit Nemean Lion.

He is followed by both Arabian Oasis and Bohernagore in the 7:30 2m1f h’cap hurdle. Tommy takes the ride on Arabian and Adam rides Bohernagore. Hopefully Bohernagore will put his last run at Market Rasen behind him as it wasn’t ran to his liking at all. He didn’t get his easy lead which he enjoyed the time before at Uttoxeter and as a result wouldn’t settle to the task very well and burnt himself out. He much prefers to get out in front where he can happily concentrate on the job. Arabian would be happy in amongst it, to find his head in front much later on. A 1st and 2nd would be nice! Best of luck to both of them and owners Surefire Racing and Newton Racing. Come home safe!

Mangata did some more schooling today in prep for his upcoming season as a hurdler. He is very much a natural, and enjoys it – which is half the battle won if they have the right attitude.
