The sun is shining at Green Oaks this morning and its 7.15 but as usual on a racing yard there has already plenty been done. All the Goffs three year olds are now ridden away and at the stage of having a canter in the school, they have all been good to do and look the part under saddle. There are a small number of shares remaining in the gorgeous new Beneficial gelding, Bertie, pictured above and below.

Geoff Kirby is very happy with his new Robin des Champs horse, the hardest part about buying him is deciding what name to give him! Theres been a lot of debate so far….Big Rob looks a real future chasing prospect and must already be 17.1hh

The Sholokov gelding has really impressed Simon with his jumping technique on the lunge, as has Bertie. This horse is also Sam’s pick of the bunch, he thinks he is going to make a good early bumper prospect, he is pictured here riding him yesterday.

The only filly of the four is the Westerner and she has been the quietest to break, she has a lovely nature. Pictured here with Adam yesterday…

We are looking forward to our five runners tomorrow at Market Rasen – Goldan Jess, Eastview Boy, Factor Fifty, Discay & Triple Eight. That will be a lot of manes to plait but we are up for the challenge. Preview later.
