Wednesdays News – and video
There is now 25% remaining in Episode who schooled well again today and is ready to run in his first novice hurdle. He
loves summer ground and is only four, if you have been looking for a nice young horse to own and a good bunch of existing Owners to join, he should tempt you to get involved.
Factor Fifty was slick over the chase fences again, he is aimed at a Beginners Chase at the next Market Rasen meeting.
‘Lexington Bay’ now has new Owners and we are looking forward to running him at Cartmel on bank Holiday Monday next week, there is a good bit of rain forecast and he is off a nice mark in this novice handicap, we think the track should suit him. he will then be off on his summer holidays until a winter NH campaign for 2015/16.
This is the video of the horses schooling. There is an error on the wording of the first clip – it should be Hail the Brave leading Soeur de Rois, not Episode first time. The mare is only on the first clip.
Aniknam is on his way to France and we are excited about our first runner across the Channel. 16 runners for a £27,000 first prize will not be an easy race but it will be a good test and we will see where we are with him on this very soft ground. Tom Scudamore rides as he is over there, James cannot make it from the UK meeting in time.
Jessie Pinkman did not make the frame in the bumper at Southwell and although travelled well throughout the race, just couldn’t quicken when the chips were down . The way he travels shows he has plenty of natural ability but much softer ground and a faster pace would help him. He finished just behind the £105,000 Jonjo horse on its debut so we were in good company.
It finally warmed up here at Castleton this afternoon and Marmot Bay’s colt ‘Rebel’ was basking in the afternoon sun. He is a really cheeky character but was very relaxed when i was stood next to him with the camera, he was not for getting up!
I have added new photos to our ‘Glamping’ page, please take a look if you like the idea.
