Below is a new video taken up on the High Moor on Friday. I apologise if the song drives you mad….it features Birthday Guest, King’s Grey, Stormy Morning, Factor Fifty and the two colts by Arcano and Archipenko – jockeys Simon, Sarah, Julie and Ross.

Tomorrow is long time Castleton member of staff, Kim Morgan’s last day working for us – she has been a valuable part of the team at Dibble Bridge for a good many years now and she will be missed by us all. We wish her lots of luck in her new non horsey and no doubt much cleaner job! A photo of some of Kim’s favourites…

Cathedral did not make it into the winners enclosure at Chelmsford City although had the race been run differently it would have been hard to keep him out the three. He ran on well in the home straight but could never get to the leaders from an off the pace position, not the easiest viewing for us or connections…there will be other days for him.  Bedale Lane did not make her reserve at DBS, and  this was surprising, she is a lovely well bred mare who won her bumper by a wide margin and went there in great order. She is going to make a very nice hurdler next winter season.

Aniknam has made the cut in France and he becomes our first runner there when he takes part in the 2m 4f race for 5 year olds at Auteil on Friday. Thank goodness for Racing UK and their coverage of the French racing! It is sure to be a hot race, there is big prize money on offer but Aniknam wants the soft ground he will get there and he is by the top French sire, Nickname.

Phil claimed a very nice horse yesterday called Lexington Bay – he won the claimer at Southwell impressively and was out in the field today at Sharp Hill having a play with Call it On (fine after his run) and King’s Grey. He may have one run while in such good form and will then be out in the field for the summer ahead of a winter hurdling campaign. He is a fine big bay 7 year old by High Chapparal and has some nice pieces of novice hurdle form already.
