Sunday – Owners Day
Philip Kirby Racing Open Day – sponsored by Topspec
The sun shone for our Owners Day and a huge rainbow framed the sky as the horses were paraded in the front yard.
We had a large crowd of around 200, and they enjoyed listening to Racing Uk presenter Niall Hannity talk to Phil about the winter prospects as they were led round, immaculately presented by our first rate team. Jockeys Henry Brooke, Adam Nicol, Kyle James, Philip Dennis & Ross Turner all led up their favourites, a video which will be posted in the next 24 hours. Following the parade everyone enjoyed a hog roast, drinks by the Richard III and delicious deserts, and it was great to hear so many people say they enjoyed their day with us. We also had a charity auction which raised almost £500 for the IJF .
Yesterday we had a good run from Celtic Agent for 4th in a hot bumper at Cheltenham, staying on strongly all the way up the hill. It was also an improved run from Enzaal who was beaten less than 4 lengths and looks to be going the right way now. Philip Dennis who has turned conditional for us had a good win for Rose Dobbin at Kelso, well done to him.
