Saturday 18th October

desertThere is no hiding the fact that we have not been firing the winners in lately, and with the horses seeming in good form at home its certainly giving us plenty to think about at the moment. Today sees our first serious National Hunt runner heading to Cheltenham, and with the ground easing to good to soft, good in places, we should see a good performance from this talented homebred gelding. Adam Nicol rides, he won on him at Southwell and was a close 3rd at Aintree. Enzaal also runs at Wolverhampton and he has been under performing this year, he is dropping to a serious mark if he gets his act together and is another that continues to work well on the gallops. A win would put him spot on for Tatts HIT sale which will be his next destination.

Yesterdays runners are fine, Monty just getting a bit tired in the ground after making all, but the two at Wolverhampton not making an impression – a long drive back for Phil and Julie last night.
