open day 6 Its not a track we have many runners at but ‘Lady Buttons’ has been declared for the 2 mile Mares Novice Hurdle at Worcester tomorrow. Joining her on the box is The Pitchall Stud’s grey 4 year old ‘Give him a Glance’  for the maiden bumper. She is priced up as favourite on attheraces, Adam Nicol rides both. Buttons has schooled well this past week and it will be a nerve wracking few minutes watching her make her debut over obstacles.  Buttons is pictured here with her owner/Breeder Jayne Sivills.

The Timeform View of Buttons race:

Those with previous experience over hurdles don’t set a particularly exacting standard, with Sea Claria the pick of the quintet, and so this can go to one of the hurdling debutantes. Hurricane’s Girl could be popular, but dual Wetherby bumper winner Lady Buttons looks the obvious way to go. Pitter Patter also landed a couple of bumpers last season, but wouldn’t be sure to stay here.

Timeform 1-2-3

On to the bumper for horses that never raced before – although many of the top yards are represented. Give him a Glance is a light framed gelding out of a flat winning mare – he has been going nicely in his homework and is ready for his first racecourse appearance tomorrow. The ground is soft, good-soft in places at the moment.  best of luck to both owners tomorrow.

Here are the videos from our Owners Day on Sunday – hope you enjoy seeing our Winter prospects. Obviously not all were paraded but a selection of our young horses and established older stars.
