New colt Sellingallthetime

New colt Sellingallthetime

Last day of the flat at Doncaster and Phil is giving new colt, Sellingallthetime  a run before putting him away for a winter break. He is fresh and well and has come to us in great order. The ground will be testing but we will see if he handles it for devotionfuture reference.  At the other end of the scale we have the real old fashioned NH type of horse, Devotion to Duty heading up to Kelso, he is running over 3m3f  and this is a step into unknown territory for him. He has pleased us since his Wetherby 3rd and he holds a decent each way chance, Richie Mcgrath goes up there with Simon today.  Good luck to all connections!

It wasn’t the best day of their lives for Danehill Flyer and  Enzaal yesterday, the vet arrived to remove

them of their family jewels and they will be a bit stiff and sore this morning. Their life will be easier now though and in a few weeks they will be out in the field  enjoying themselves together, its very difficult letting colts out for long when you have fillies all over.

We have had plenty of interest all ready in the lovely new Three Valleys  filly and she was viewed yesterday and behaved herself perfectly, she does appear to have a superb temperament. She will start being mouthed on Monday and soon will learn to be driven forwards in long reins.

It was a busy day as a result yesterday and it was pretty dark before Carl, Adam and Rachel were making their way home. There were two lots ridden out from here, below is second lot, recent Sedgefield winner War Lord in front with Adam, he is having a few freshening up days around the moors and enjoyed his hack out.

Yesterday saw both Bob’s Ticket and Brunello put in some sound performances on their seasonal reappearances. Bob attempted to make all round Hexham and he jumped great for Adam until just getting tired up the final hill. Phil will look for a less demanding track next time and hopefully it wont be long before Bob gets his head in front for the Kwick syndicate and Ownaracehorse. A great photo below from Mike Dunn – many thanks!

Brunello was running in quite a high class novice , and although was outpaced before turning for home, galloped on resolutely and finished fourth. This  was a good hurdling debut and he gave his shareholders plenty to dream about  for the coming winter months.

Ancient Times (oz)  enjoyed his day out but he always takes a few runs to warm to his task and Kyle was not hard on him once his chance had gone. He  is a happy little horse who usually manages to win a race or two each year and we love having him on the yard as he is so easy.

Today sees people viewing our exracers looking for new homes, wè still have several lovely geldings to find homes for including this superb looking 16.1hh 5 year old who would make a top class show horse or potential eventer, i am amazed he has not gone yet but with Christmas approaching its always a difficult time to sell or loan horses.
