An ‘almost’ day with a good 2nd from Brunello at Wolverhampton – ridden by Adam Nicol and owned by Ownaracehorse. He just found one too good but there is no doubt we will be seeing this big bay gelding in front before too long, he is dropping to a winnable mark and he doesn’t often run a bad race. Simon and Adam are on their way home with him, and at least the roads will be quiet at this time of night!
Phil is off to Worcester tomorrow with Burns Night and newcomer, Word of Warning. The latter had been a bit out of form before he came to us and it remains to be seen if he still fancies it when he gets to the track, but he seems happy at home and looks the part – there will be no better looking horse at the track tomorrow. Good luck to his Owners the Twelve Go Racing Partnership. Thankfully the race has been split so we can have a runner in both divisions, Burns Night has an obviously decent chance without looking well in, he is about on his mark so may be vulnerable but will hopefully be good enough to win this.
We have welcomed six new horses to Sharp Hill in the last few weeks, names to note:
War Lord Moscow Presents Woodpole Academy Courtown Oscar Gloshen Eltheeb
Worth a King’s has been given an entry at Ayr on the flat for the Philip Kirby Racing partnership – anyone that goes up is sure to have a good time, the Owners are treated to a super meal and its a lovely track to visit.
All the shares in the Waking Ned P’ship have now sold. Please email us if you are interested in joining another 20 strong Partnership, and your preference for either a jumper for this winter or a flat 2 year old for next year – Philip will search for whatever has the most interest. We will email those of you who have shown an interest first with chance to join.
