Early morning exercise
Sorry for the lack of updates, its been a busy few weeks! We have 2 runners today, firstly Billian at Catterick in the 3pm 6f h’cap with Kevin Stott on board for the PKR Racing Club. His last run at Carlisle was better than it reads as rain softened ground was less than ideal and ment that he was drawn on the wrong side for the favoured standside following the rain. Hopefully it will hold off today for a good run at our most local track for his many owners in our PKR Racing Club! Up at Musselburgh is Caracristi for the 4.25 1m h’cap for owners Ace Bloodstock. She ran well in defeat last time out after being hampered early in the race under a good ride from our apprentice Madi Patzelt who rides her again today. The step back in trip will not be an issue and she has solid form with the horse who beat her last time out winning again since. Good luck to both runners and all connections for a great day and safe return.
Aside from the racing it has been a very busy summer for the showing side of the Kirby family with the latest achievement being 5yr old Merlin the homebred coloured taking the Supreme In-hand at the CHAMPS UK Championships. A very successful season for him and a very special memory for Pippa to treasure for a lifetime! Currently there is a lorry load off to the British Show Pony Society Championships which will no doubt be bringing more rosettes home! Good luck to the Kirby sisters Izzy & Indy, your mum has set the bar high!!
