Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Wed 20th July…

We hope you all had a great weekend and have been enjoying the heatwave. The yard have been starting at 5 in the morning the past few days to beat the midday sun and get the horses exercised a bit more comfortably, for horse and rider.

It was a good weekends racing with a winner both days! Red Force One (above) gave another top performance delivering a great staying on win on Sunday at Redcar under Ryan Sexton for owners The Yorkshire Puddings. He holds entries at York and Salisbury for this weekend with no penalty to go for the hat trick. On Saturday Lily In The Jungle was very impressive to make all with Barry Garritty confidently pulling clear for a 7 and a half length win. Following this solid effort she can now hopefully move back up in grade again for owners The Well Oiled Partnership. Congrats to all connections from our successful weekend!

Runners Today…

We have Billian at Catterick who can hopefully build on his good effort last time out at Ayr. Ridden by Callum Rodriguez for our Philip Kirby Racing Club. Winfola also heads to Catterick to run for her owners The Silver Linings Partnership. It would be lovely to see her run well before she heads off to be a mummy and she has had a good 2nd at this course & distance with a higher mark. We have top flat jockey Graham Lee booked for her, so all fingers are crossed she can do herself justice. At Leicester we have Who’s Ur Dandy looking to make good use of her inside draw under Andrew Mullens for BFP Racing. Good luck to all, and safe return.
