Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Tuesday at Ayr & Sedgefield

We are looking forward to an afternoon and evening of jumping runners today across 2 cards…Phil has gone up to Ayr and our first runner will be homebred MARTALINDY ridden by Tommy in the Mares novice hurdle at 4.55 for The Philip Kirby Racing Club.

We have a split of Club Members attending the racing today as we also have GREEN OAKS TOP CAT for the PKR Club in the Mares bumper at Sedgefield, Joe takes the reins again and she is well fancied to make it a bumper double after winning on debut at Musselburgh in March. It is always hard to win 2 bumpers with a penalty, we’ll see if ‘Molly’ acts around this left handed undulating track, it couldn’t be more different to Musselburgh really but she is clearly a mare with talent and has switched on further for her first outing.

Before ‘Molly’ we have CLEAN GETAWAY who takes his chance in the Novice Hurdle at 5.50 – he is an imposing Chaser for the future and hopefully he should handle this quicker ground on offer as he is a beautiful mover with lots of enthusiasm at home. He will be more competitive in handicaps but is well capable of a decent run in a late season novice.

Clean Getaway

We have the first appearance of MOSAWAAH at Ayr for Owners Hambleton Racing. He is a lovely looking horse and we hope he can run a decent race on his debut, he is well bred from a flat family that includes Epsom Derby 2nd, and local Sire, Dragon Dancer.

Tommy rides him and also EN MEME TEMPS for Hope Eden Racing in the 5.32. ‘Meme’ has gone well at Ayr before and looks in tremendous shape at home. He’s a hard horse to get his head in front but he has the ability to win if putting it all together and we’d love to get a number 1 next to his name.

Best of luck and most of all SAFE RETURN for our Horses and their jockeys today.
