Carlisle, Sales & Busby wins!

It was a shorter drive home for Phil from Kempton on Tuesday night as newcomer to the yard ’Busby’ won in the hands of Rossa Ryan for John Hanson of Ace Bloodstock & Phil, a long way but what looked the ideal race for Busby on paper following his run over 6f there for his previous connections.

Busby looked to win comfortably and with luck can go in again in a similar contest. We are hoping for another productive winter on the AW with our small team of flat runners and they have got us off to a good start .

We have 3 runners today at Carlisle, however the rain hasn’t got into the ground at all as expected, they seem to have missed most of the rain there, and our two in the handicap hurdles, McGarry & Bee the Difference will only run if Phil feels there is enough give. Both are ex pointers and would prefer a softer surface. Louis Vac Pouch will enjoy the good ground on offer and he has an each way chance for Ross Chapman in the staying chase at 3.40, there are 8 runners.

Everett ( Kenny) heads to the Goffs UK Donny sales for his Owners, and we’d be very glad to have him back to train for new connections. Details of him can be found on our for sale page, he is a good fun dual prospect for the winter, he has low mileage and is fit and ready to run.

Many thanks to the Clerk of the course at Pontefract who allowed galloping after racing on Monday – we took our Charlie Hall Chase hope ’Top Ville Ben’ with last years superstar ’Bushypark’ and following them round the newcomer ’Martalindy’ who is a new addition to the PKR Club. Phil was pleased with all of them.
