Friday 13th!!!

We have 2 runners today, firstly Stargazer pictured above with Henry alongside our multiple winner Bushypark with Simon. Smart stayer Stargazer heads to Nottingham for the 3:35 2 mile handicap with Joe Williamson in the plate. He remains in good order at home and is now with a mark he can hopefully take advantage of being lower than that of his previous win. Using the added help of Joe’s 5lb claim we will be glad to see him get competitive again and back in that winners spot soon! Trevolli is our runner later on this evening at Thirsk in the 7:23 7f handicap with Billy Garritty riding. He is well at home and we hope to see this consistent tryer find his way deservedly back to the enclosure. Best of luck to owners the Hassall family (Stargazer) and AR Racing (Trevolli) for a good days racing and a safe return.

Looking ahead to the weekend we have a duo of Sunday runners… Dark Zeas and Lord Torranago at Southwell. Dark Zeas runs in the 3:55 7f handicap and Lord T in the 4:30 1mile4 handicap, both with Billy Garritty on board. Dark Zeas holds some good form but was up against a wide draw last time out at Chester which is never ideal there. We hope for another of his good efforts this weekend at Southwell.

Dark Zeas with Nick.

Lord T’s last win was on the aw at Wolves, so this might just suit him if he takes to the surface at Southwell.

News from a few of our previous residents….

Art History was a gorgeous grey we only had for 2 runs before sadly getting injured and ending his racing career. He has now found his talent as a dressage horse with Sarah Sawyer who has put a lot of time, effort and dedication to get him looking so great. Sarah says everybody who meets him loves him!

Another old face some may remember from a good few years back is Avanos. He was a decent hurdler on his day and was with us from our early days over where we started out in Castleton, one of the originals to don the Purple & White of Keith & Jayne Sivills. Now very happy in his retirement with Kay, pictured at a recent show they enjoyed….
