Thursday at Cheltenham and Newcastle

We have 3 runners today and the pleasure of having a runner at Cheltenham in glorious sunshine – if only I was there to watch 🤦‍♀️! It’s a quicker surface than Another Theatre’s best winning form but it’s sure to be safe ground to round off a season in which she has won twice over hurdles, best of luck to Tommy who rides her and Owners, the Hassall family. There are already 3 non runners and 2 significant ones so a good start in this Listed event!

SEXY BEAST makes his stable debut at Newcastle for Owners, The Good Looking Partnership. He is a gorgeous looking individual, and has decent flat form from 1 mile 6f upwards, this trip maybe a bit on the short side today, but it’s a good opportunity for his first start on a safe surface.

Our final runner, and last but certainly not least is the twice winning & progressive ‘BURROWS SEESIDE’ who will be the ride of newly turned Amateur jockey, Nick Barratt- Atkin. Seeside faces some race fit rivals this afternoon on his seasonal debut and while Phil is in no doubt that he will improve further for the outing, our ‘first time outers’ have been running good races and he is currently favourite with Nick claiming a valuable 7lbs.
