Wednesday at Kelso
Pictured here with Simon who has been riding her regularly, Dieu Benisse should enjoy the decent ground on offer at Kelso later on today – she has what looks the weaker of the two divisions of the 2m 2f handicap hurdle and she’s pretty straight for her first outing -4th here last year in a similar race but this time Bill Shanahan takes 7lbs off, good luck to him this afternoon, he is one of our regular work riders. Tommy takes the ride on ‘Miladygrace’ who reappears in the 3.40 off a handicap mark of 88. She’s a light framed mare who has been going well at home but this looks a tricky race with race fit recent winning rivals and the hotter of the two divisions. She should be winning this season but a good promising run today would please us and anything else is a bonus.
New gelding ‘Yeats Venture’ has settled in very easily and had his first 2 canters under Joe Williamson this morning proving straightforward and a lovely mover. He looks incredibly like our former Yeats partnership horse ‘TwentySix Black’ which proves how much Yeats can stamp his looks on his stock.
The race didn’t go at all to plan at Redcar for ‘The Resdev Way’ yesterday, the steady pace not playing to his strengths when held up, but he returns fine and Katie had him looking spot on with another Best Turned Out award.
Our two at Hexham ran sound enough races for early on in the season and there will be better opportunities for ‘Bee the Difference’ when he is eligible for handicaps. Adelphi Prince was made a NR due to the quick ground.

There is a real Autumnal feel in the air today following beautiful weather the last few days. Our mares & foals have been making the most of it!
