The beautiful head of Niven
On to Wetherby today and we have 4 runners at our local Grade 1 Track, spearheaded by the talented Chaser, Niven who is 4-1 in a hot little 2mile 0-150 contest in the middle of the card.
Niven stayed every yard of the 2m 3f last time so the jury is out if the step back in trip will suit, but he has run well over the minimum in the past, and his jumping will be crucial.
Machiavelli will need novice handicaps to be seen to best advantage but he is learning his trade and this will be another step forward for him. Our duo in the 2.50 are more than capable – both Zig Zag and Sakhee’s City have won round here and they will appreciate the soft ground. Tommy & Sean take the rides.
