Wednesday at Cheltenham & Southwell

Its a big day to end the season for these two – both double chasing winners in 2018/19 . Little Bruce contests the 3m 1f Novice  Chase at 3.50 and he comes here off the back of a superb success in the Cambridgeshire National. It’s a classy 13 runner field today and much will depend if he can enjoy himself up the front end, it’s a tough ask but he remains in fine form and Tommy has a lot of faith in him. Little Bruce has a huge following amongst our Facebook followers and there will be many watching him in action today – he is a little horse with a huge heart.

The pint sized but Lion hearted LITTLE BRUCE

Skipthescales has won two chases this term under Adam and was a good second in a staying hurdle at Wetherby last time for Tommy. He finds hurdling easier especially on this sort of ground where slick jumping is at a premium. It’s vital that Skip is kept interested throughout his race and it will be debatable who will be the most tired at the end of the 3 miles – Skip or Tommy as he is a notoriously lazy ride but more than capable and finished with a real rattle last time despite being off the bridle with a circuit to go. This ground isn’t ideal but it’s the same for everyone and he’s shown form on it. Priced at 33-1 he is obviously up against it in a big competitive field but he’s been kept fresh for this, like Little Bruce for his race, and we wish both horses and Tommy good luck and a safe return 🐎🍀

Later this afternoon we have Mr Carbonator at Southwell in the 6.30. He is 2nd favourite to go one better than last time and he’s in great form with himself. Jamie Gormley rides claiming 3, and he usually always runs a good race, Mr C is a model of consistency.

Mr Carbonator

We are excited to bring you news of another new arrival – Musikhani foaled a bay colt for us & Ace Bloodstock last night. He is by Mondialiste and this makes 3 colts in a row for the mare. Petite but correct, both are doing well.
