Wednesday News & Winner!

Ice Galley wins at Redcar yesterday

We were celebrating  yesterday with a win from Ice Galley who did it in style at his Owners local track, Redcar. Running in the purple and white silks of Jayne & Keith Sivills, Kevin Stott committed the Galileo gelding at the 2 furlong pole, keeping him up to his work in the final 50 yards and breaking his maiden tag on the process. This was a hat trick on the day for Kevin who is always guaranteed to give one an excellent ride and he proved it yet again here.

Julie turned ‘Axle’ out beautifully and was duly awarded with the Best Turned Out prize.

The previous day we had two at Hexham and we saw an excellent effort from Suggestion who was 2nd on his seasonal comeback, Adam was very pleased with his performance and there is plenty to look forward to over the coming months for his Owners, Red Cap Racing. This was the first run back for him since we very sadly lost one of his Owners, Terry Mayberry – an avid supporter of the yard and a regular at the Nothern Race Meetings. Terry would have thoroughly enjoyed seeing his grey horse in action yesterday, he knew plenty about the jumping game and wouldn’t have missed it.

We have photos courtesy of one of our other Owners, Tom Wooldridge who often kindly sends me pictures for the website if I can’t be there.

Today Phil is at the Goffs In Training Sale at Doncaster and with a couple of orders to fulfill we might have an additional update this evening.

Lastly we love this photo of Robin Des Chapp laughing for the camera, he was taken with the lick that some of his Owners John & Linda brought him this morning.
