We had ‘Rock of leon’ at Cartmel today and he ran well enough for 4th, just finding this unusual track a little tough on his first visit there, he must have wondered what was going on, its the National Hunt equivalent of Chester. He’s been winning in selling company but needs a bit of respite from the handicapper back in this sphere.

Yesterday we had ‘Sincereley Resdev’ running well for 2nd at Redcar, stepping up on his first attempt at a staying trip and he can go on from here, he looks a useful stayer in the making. Jaycol’s Star was hampered at a crucial time when staying on nicely on his seasonal debut.

Our seven horses on the end stables had an unusual visitor at tea time and there were some very interested heads looking over the doors! Mukkadram colt nearest camera.

No runners tomorrow but a busy day nonetheless with a full yard being ridden out and several ‘breakers’ just getting ridden away nicely. Now trotting and about to learn to canter are Abingdon Park & The Authorized colt ‘Tonto’ – and first trot today was ‘Robin des Chapp’ who looked big and impressive coming up the gallop steadily with Henry. This half brother to Lady Buttons is every bit as big as recentley retired ‘Transient Bay’.
