Happy Birthday Phil!

Can Shine Baby Shine Or Captain Bob make it a winning Birthday for him this afternoon?

We’re on our way to Cheltenham with the 4 year old filly ‘Shine Baby Shine’ for the Juvenile fillies handicap at 4.30. The sun is shining and it promises to be  24 degrees later this afternoon, hopefully the horses will cope with it ok and we certainly will! We think Shine has a very realistic chance in what isn’t the most competitive race for the money although of course you don’t get easy races at Cheltenham. We would prefer it to be a bit softer to bring her stamina into play but she will still handle this better ground. Tommy is looking forward to getting the leg up on her and has plenty of confidence in the mare, she’s got a great attitude and wasn’t beaten that far at Ascot in a hot race.

Just an hour up the road at Newcastle it’s Captain Bob in the 7f 0-55, Paddy Aspell is in the saddle and he has definite each way claims off this mark in what does look a slightly tricky contest. Bob runs in a new Partnership name today with Colin Fletcher  a new part Owner – and he will be wearing his pale blue and orange colours that were seen in the winning enclosure many times with Simply Smashing.

Captain Bob

Best of luck to all our Owners this afternoon! 🍀🍀
