Todays runners….

We have 4 runners at Southwell AW today – The Resdev way, Captain Bob, Kaylen’s Mischief and Iconic Figure.

The Resdev Way looked the winner turning for home on Saturday in his ‘jumpers bumper’ at Newcastle, but just couldn’t quite get there and had to settle for 2nd. He remains well at home so hopefully he can take Newcastle as a prep for today and go one better with P.J McDonald on board for owners Resdev.

Captain Bob & Peter

Captain Bob & Kaylen’s Mischief both run in the 6f h’cap. Bob has the addition of blinkers for the first time today and hopefully todays race should be within reach following his improvement last time out for 3rd. Ridden by Jonathan Fisher again for owner Malcolm Long. Kaylen’s Mischief is having his first run following his break and we hope he runs well under Dougie Costello for owner Mark Smith.

Iconic Figure has his first run for us today since joining us in January from Ireland. He has been going well at home and hopefully the change of scenery will have inspired better efforts from him over here. Despite being a maiden he has been placed 12 out of his 20 runs and Phil does tend to do well with horses who look to have lost interest. Best of luck to him today ridden by William Cox.
