Mon 15th Jan…

We have two of our partnership horses running at Ayr today, Transient Bay for The Waking Ned Partnership and Northern Girl for The Topspec Partnership & Ownaracehorse.

Stenna & Katie.

Transient Bay is in the 3m hurdle with Adam Nicol on board. He loves a good test in the mud and is at the other end of the weights to his first run of the season here back in December. Northern Girl takes her chance in the 2m mares hurdle with only 7 runners. She came a very good 4th at Ayr first time out this season in her debut run over jumps in a mares maiden, also on the heavy ground conditions she will face today. Adam Nicol rides her today as Tommy has sadly been side-lined with an injury.

Northern Girl

Tommy suffered a broken collarbone when parting company with Kenny Johnson’s Vodka Red at the last on Friday at Sedgefield. It was a nasty break, he had an op on it yesterday and is reported to still be in his usual good spirits despite being faced with a predicted 6wks off. We know he will be doing his best to be back out there asap and we wish him a speedy recovery – the team needs him!
