Top Ville Ben wins at Haydock
What a performance yesterday in the mud at Haydock from Top Ville Ben – Adam jumped off sharply and they never saw another rival for the race, having a little breather down the back second time before Adam sent him on again and he galloped clear up the home straight to record a 29 length victory. Racing Post analysis reads:
Phil had been convinced beforehand that he would stay this extra trip but it was a big ask under top weight in these conditions, and we certainly have an exciting 3 mile novice chaser on our hands for next season – he is still just five years old – he won a 3 mile Irish point when just a four year old in soft ground and he looks a really good value buy now from the May Sales out of Nicky Hendersons yard. Like Asum on Boxing Day, he was another buzzy horse to benefit from the application of a hood. We love getting buzzy horses as they seem to settle well at Green Oaks and we do a lot of work with them on their own.
