Weekend round up

Lady Buttons at Wetherby on Saturday

Its been a weekend of near misses in high class races but we are very proud of Lady Buttons yesterday (2nd in the Class 1 Listed Mares hurdle) and Top Ville Ben today at Carlisle ( 3rd in the Class 2 0-150 hurdle) .

A well earned drink for Buttons after her 2 length 2nd

We also saw good runs from Northern Girl – a very promising 4th on her hurdling debut, and Minstrel Royal – midfield in a hot handicap but pleasing us all with the way he stuck on all the way to the line.

The only dissapointing  run of the weekend was from Little Bruce up at Ayr who perhaps didn’t handle the very testing conditions upped in class, but thankfully he’s fine today judging on his antics in the field!

And the hugely talented Lady Buttons…

Anyone considering ownership may want to look at our one remaining share available in Lady Buttons half brother, our big strong homebred Robin des Champs 2 year old ‘Robin des Chapp’. He looks like a male version of Buttons – let’s hope he has her talent. It’s a high class black type family full of winners.
