Sunday at Market Rasen

Next Edition

Next Edition

He has been with us since he was four years old and tomorrow ‘Eddie’ Next Edition will be running in his final race age 9  at Market Rasen for his Owners, The Dibble Bridge Partnership. He was our first Partnership horse and has been so verstaile and given us lots of pleasure over the years – winning sometimes when it wasn’t expected – and managing to come 2nd at York three times, twice beaten in a photo! In all he has run a grand total of 52 times for us – winning on 3 occasions, coming 2nd TEN times, 3x 3rds and 3x4ths –

what a good little horse he has been on the flat and over hurdles. With Tommy currently serving a ban, Harry Teal takes back over the reins on him tomorrow – Eddie was second for him on his hurdles comeback and they seem to get on well. Most importantly we hope he comes back safe and sound tomorrow – he goes to his new home with Liz Jones up in Scotland next month  for an easy, pampered life of hacking round the countryside. Seven of Eddie’s Owners are heading to Market Rasen tomorrow to watch him and we wish everyone the best of luck.

This is a great video of Eddie the year of the SNOW at Dibble Bridge – actually we had this amount 2 years, 2010 and 21011…

And here he was – a familiar sight hacking enthusiastically  round the hills at our Dibble Bridge yard, Kim Morgan in the saddle, a regular rider of his at the yard.

We have our young Partnership horse, Wemyss Point running in the last for The Green Oaks Partnership tomorrow, and this will be his final bumper before possibly a tilt at the flat. Wemyss has held his form well so far with 2x 2nds and a 5th in good company – can he go one better to win his bumper tomorrow? He is very well at home –  Adam Nicol takes the ride.
