Sunday’s News

Colin and Raymond Fletcher with Tommy in the winners enclosure at Fakenham for Improved’s win

We had just the one runner today – Sakhee’s City at Market Rasen in a competitive £8k handicap hurdle –  and he ran yet another good race finishing 3rd off top weight under a change of tactics ride from Adam – hurdling boldly from the front and weight probably just catching him out close home to two better handicapped rivals. Sakhee’s has crept up the weights for his placed efforts and as a result it is difficult to find him a winning opportunity but he is sure to get his head in front soon and he deserves a second win for his consistency. We think he enjoyed himself out in front yesterday and similar tactics when he goes novice chasing could be interesting.

Some photos from the yard yesterday –  a lovely warm Spring day.
