Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Monday 6th June

It’s glorious weather at Ayr this afternoon and as usual we have enjoyed the wonderful spread they put on for Owners lunch, it’s a good job we are not having to weigh out for the next, we might have done some overweight.

Two runners so far, Seminole Dream found the 5f on the sharp side but this was an improvement on her debut and there will be races in her as she grows up and gains experience. We were delighted with the close 3rd of Archiposs in the maiden, only beaten about a length and a half on his racecourse debut and galloping all the way to the line. This was a sound effort and he looks a future winner for the yard. He looked a picture in the paddock

Its Triple Eight and Julie Heneghan next, the whole yard will be rooting for her to ride her first flat winner this afternoon and she has a good chance. She rides in the last, the Lady Amateur riders race.
