What a start to The Green Oaks Partnership Owners year with ‘Call it On’ – he has never won first time out before but showed his well being by making all at Market Rasen and just holding on in the finishing strides when probably just fitness was catching him out. We can’t say we strongly fancied him, he went off 12-1 as he usually takes a race or two to be at his best and we saw no reason why this would be any different, publishing it for all to see. Adam gave him a superb front running ride and his jumping was so slick, he was loving being out in front and dominating the race. What a wonderful horse he is and we are really looking forward to running him again, possibly back at Market Rasen next month. If you were thinking of joining The Partnership  some shares remain at just £850 for the year, and this includes winning your share of Thursdays prizemoney if you join! What an opportunity for the price, and we are planning some more valuable handicap hurdles with Colin in the next couple of months. He has now won FIVE of his last SIX races (three on the flat, 2 over hurdles) not bad for a 10 year old!  He will also run on the flat in some classy handicaps this summer. Below are some more photos from Mick Atkins that we will be making a purchase from..

Its clear the horses are remaining in good form and have thrived for the move-  and we are looking forward to running Pass Muster on Sunday at Musselburgh for The Pipedream Partnership – the ground is drying up nicely and we just don’t want any rain on Sunday morning now. Julie gave him a quiet canter today and he looked in good shape. Phillip dennis is booked to ride.

He goes up in the horsebox with Izzy’s pony Midge for the shetland race that takes place before racing. her new jockey boots came today and she is one excited 10 year old. He had his last gallop today behind the racehorses and didn’t disappoint! It will be bath time and an easy day for him  tomorrow. Thank you SO much to those who have already donated to The Bob Champion Cancer Trust on Izzy’s Just Giving page – it is very much appreciated.

Anyone who saw Birthday Guest fall yesterday will be pleased to hear he is fine and although was a little stiff first thing, he was soon bucking and cantering round the field.

A  video is just uploading and will be on a new post later tonight or in the morning. I am sure you will agree how happy the horses look on it- at work and in their stables.

Here are some of the horses of the future at PKR – Improved’s 2 year old half brother by Josr Algarhoud. His dam Show Potential is due to visit Sixties Icon once foaled.
