Phil and Simon were fairly exhausted last night after moving horses and gear pretty much all day from  middleham to Green Oaks – by about 9.30 the last horse was installed and they finally sat down for imagesome tea! You can imagine the amount of horse feed, haylage, racing tack, everyday tack, buckets, rugs, office equipment, machinery etc that had to be dismantled/ packed and unloaded…..but thank goodness its all just about here now. For the rest of the team It was business as usual exercising and looking after the horses, and they rode out at both yards in glorious sunshine, the horses at Green Oaks clearly loving the change and the chance to do their work round the enormous field that will become our schooling field.

All lots did  some work in the arena first and before anyone started riding, Lauren was lunging the Shades of Grey filly, Enlighten Me and she looked really well.

All the 2 year old fillies went out in the paddocks after work and they had an afternoon on the spring grass. The colts watched them with interest across the fields but didn’t get up! They are a really relaxed bunch.

On Wednesday we so nearly celebrated Julie having her first winner but she was worn down by top jock Simon Walker at the post, Quadriga running a huge race though for 2nd at 25-1, he has been second on his last two starts now. Mac Tiernan was not placed yesterday and it is taking him longer to come back after his time off from racing.

No runners today but its now looking like two at the weekend – Transient Bay tomorrow and Improved on Sunday.

There will be a new video added later this evening.
