Friday’s News

We have had a quiet week for runners although its very busy at the yard with the  jumpers all ready to go and just waiting for a bit more rain. Some of the flat horses are having their last runs of the season before the sales or their winter break – 2 year old Mr Chuckles came imageback to hotel Dibble Bridge yesterday, he is staying in training with us for 2016.  The Zoffany colt heads to Newmarket today, he doesn’t go through the ring until Monday but he needs to be there for prospective buyers and agents to view. He has done loads of walking and is well up to the task of showing himself off well.

Call it On has been declared for York on Saturday and he is paper favourite but we wouldn’t want the ground to dry up much more, there has to be soft somewhere in the ground description to run him. Goldan Jess didn’t make the cut and his target at Goodwood is also looking as though it will be too quick and he may now wait until the big meeting at Wetherby at the end of the month.

The weekender is currently running a double page spread on Phil and a selection of our horses for the winter months, good to see photos of Platinum and Goldan Jess in there!
