Colin wins at Chepstow

We saw another great performance from our old boy Call it On at Chepstow yesterday, he came smoothly into the race 3f out, and galloped all the way to the line. We were quietly confident he would run a huge race and his 12-1price was absolutely baffling given that he stays 4 miles and the ground was soft at Chepstow! There are not many 3 year old fillies that want 2m2f on a track like that on soft ground, and the favourite looked very short for this reason. Colin has a few options now, a hurdle race at Perth or a staying race at Ponte, and then on to the 2m 2f race at York in October. For the next few days though he is going out in the field  at Dibble Bridge for a well earned break.

Triple Eight looked to be getting involved at Hamilton but his run flattened out and he looks a bit high in the handicap following the 9lb hike for his win, we felt the rise was excessive at the time.

Three runners today and the two at Wolver both have chances, Bold Henmie will have a fitness edge but Full Speed is off a handy mark and knows how to win races. Splash of Verve looks to have a sound EW chance at Sandown if he handles the ground not being really quick.
