Good luck to Connections of ‘Courtown Oscar’ as he bids to make his first start a winning one today at Uttoxeter. He carries near top weight and it wont be easy in possible heavy ground (further rain forecast) but he is a big strapping chasing type and should carry it well. Racing Post comments:

The ground was faster than COURTOWN OSCAR had previously tackled when he won well last month but that improvement looked as much down to the stiffer test, moving up in trip, and he´s the sort to do better again over fences, so is the one to beat in this ordinary race. The ground and longer trip are concerns with Houseparty, and it may be Young Cheddar who gives the selection most to do.[Graham Wheldon]

He has been well at home since his win and James Reveley was up to school him yesterday – you can see him over fences on the final part of this new video below.

We received the very sad news yesterday that Royalty and Andorn’s colt has had to be PTS following complications with his treatment. Our hearts go out to his Owners at Preesall garage and for Royalty herself who has now lost her last two foals, a really sad end to  the last few weeks of trying hard to save him. He was a brave little colt and will be remembered by us all.
