Pleased to read the report for Courtown Oscar in the Racing Post…

Courtown Oscar

Courtown Oscar

“COURTOWN OSCAR forged away nearing the final flight and won well. This was a massive improvement on previous rules form, but the step up in trip obviously helped and he was always perfectly placed. The livelier going also suited and he´s viewed as chaser in the making. QUOTES Courtown Oscar wanted every yard of that trip. He´s quite laid back, he just does what he has to. He´s a big scopey horse and he´s going to be a chaser rather than a hurdler – James Reveley, rider.”

No runners today but a changeover with horses, as some roadworkers move to Middleham and resters come back to Dibble Bridge.  Iftikaar headed up there today with Arco who has had a few days hacking at Castleton.

Our team page has been extensively re-vamped – as has the  Jockeys and Horses in Training (although this is still work in progress) – please do take a look.

kellyNew to our team is kelly Cochrane and she is a good rider who

has fitted in well straight away. She is pictured here riding Malcolm ward’s ‘Jessie Pinkman’ who is having stall training this week as you may see him out at Southwell shortly if the ground doesn’t ease for a bumper run.

We also have Sarah coming in on a twice a week basis to ride out and get race fit for the York Charity race – she is riding one of our horses, just not sure which one yet! Sarah is a competition rider who looks well up to the challenge, she is pictured here with Factor Fifty.

frankieCavalieri is a lovely horse, he is one we are looking forward to running soon and he will mix flat and novice handicap hurdling this Spring and Summer, he won in the Spring last year and we would like to think we can get another 1 next to his name sooner rather than later.

Another who is soon out is one of our best horses, ‘Rumble of Thunder’

who made a very pleasing comeback at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago. he is entered over 1, 5f at Chelmsford City, and his ultimate target is to head to France after this for a valuable hurdle race.
