A fab natural photo by Phill Andrews of Simon and Julie sharing a joke on the way back from the gallops. His site can be accessed by the link on the right hand side of our site.

two runners now…

Stenna has been made a non runner due to the ground going good to soft, good in places with the Clerk of the Course telling us it could dry out further still with winds high at Newcastle.

The Yeats gelding ‘Bruce Almighty’ is having his second start over hurdles, Adam rides him and also the bumper mare tomorrow, Due East – a well bred half sister to No Planning and Celtic Agent by Bollin Eric –  its a busy afternoon for him. ‘Due East’ is Owner bred, and this will be an exciting debut for her owners, Sue and Colin Johnson. She is an attractive, good sized mare.

We wish all our owners the best of luck at Newcastle.

Oscar O’scar is back safe and sound, and ran a  good race at Southwell today for 2nd. The winner looked well handicapped as it cruised on past him, but Oscar showed some really good battling qualities today and were were pleased with him, as were his Owners.  Racing Post commented:

“Oscar O´scar ran a decent race and finished a clear second-best. There must be a small race for him this season.”
