Mondays News
Apologies for the lack of an update ( have been in Ireland viewing horses) but this week will see plenty of news, we have a new video to upload this evening and lots if runners tomorrow to discuss, weather depending. This is Embsay Crag taken on Friday, it was a busy schooling morning and James
Reveley cane in to ride out, he is pictured below on Keith and Jayne Sivills potentially exciting novice hurdler Kiwayu who jumped well for him.
James also schooled Can’t Believe It and Woodpole Academy, still up the jumping lane as the grass schooling area was too firm. That might have now changed with the rain over the weekend! Stormy Morning was looking well with Phil Dennis up, he is declared for the staying race at Catterick tomorrow and has been going well of late.
Travelling head girl Julie was riding out Mysterious Wonder who is also declared for tomorrow but at Leicester – he will be Phil Dennis’s first ride as an apprentice and he will be able to claim 5lbs on him. He was an unlucky second with traffic problems last time out. Istimraar, Rocky Two nd Musikhani are also in for tomorrow at Catterick, we will be getting a ground check later to firm up plans. We have seen two sides of the horse world coin in Ireland these past two days, looking at young high class TB yearlings and then visiting the world famous Ballinasloe Horse Fair . Phil bought himself a young saluki cross puppy at the Fair, but we managed to not come home with any more horses or ponies.
There was about 2000 equines at the fair as well as goats, donkeys, dogs, ducks, anything that could be sold was there and we could have brought home a lot more. Here are some photos from yesterday.
