Happy Birthday Pam Kirby!

pam and izzyMany Happy returns to a wonderful & inspirational  Mum, Mum-in-Law and Grandma!

We had some good runs from Jawaab and Sleeping Apache at Pontefract yesterday – you don’t always have to win to be pleased with performances and our great favourite Jawaab ran his best flat race for some time when staying on all the way to the line in the 2m5f contest. With a little more help from the handicapper he can get back to winning ways round here this summer, he really acts round this stiff track and it was good to see him running on and finishing well into a clear 3rd. Sleeping Apache made his debut in the next and as soon as he hit the hill he found an extra gear and ran on really nicely for  5th in the maiden, getting the mention that he had run well from the Racing Uk presenters.

Its a beautiful sunny morning – a work day at Sharp Hill and we also have jockeys Russ Kennemore and James Reveley in to ride out.  Dr Irv is having a strong piece ahead of his first race back this year  – he holds and entry at Musselburgh for the weekend as does another course winner,  Pass Muster who will also be working with Cavalieri and Lady Heidi.  Down for the schooling list is Devotion to Duty, Noir Girl, Istimraar and Rosie du Berlais.
