Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Sundays News- winner!

Happy Birthday Geoff Kirby!

aggie sales 010Pictured here with  Pam, and their 8 time winner ‘Agglestone Rock’  –  Geoff is also a successful Trainer, but of Racing Greyhounds, many a touch landed and all the big races in the North of England over the years.

Their horse Aggie is back in strong canter work and will hopefully be making a comeback for them on the flat this summer.

Everaard does it again…

imageWell done James reveley – a great sit at the second last as Everaard got in tight and propped on landing.  Barely a length was lost and he was back in front by the last to get a great jump and then gallop all the way to the line to win the feature race of the day at Wetherby. He just keeps improving! This is the 4th win for us and the 4th win for Kate by Everaard, what a star he is – no doubt he will have plenty of fans giving him a stroke at the Open Day next Friday.

Rumble of Thunder ran a cracking race for 2nd at Ayr yesterday – 2 runners up there and two good seconds, you couldn’t be dissapointed with them, he earned almost £4000 for the runner up spot yesterday.

Foaling news  – Hooray! A month late, Pickworth has given birth to a chestnut colt by Shirocco. Mother and son doing well. Shirocco does tend to produce chestnuts even though he is a bay (thinking Annie Power…) and hopefully this lad has plenty of his fathers ability , they are certainly proving very popular. Many thanks to Bob and Lesley Haw for foaling him successfully – they have had a lot of sleepless nights waiting for his late arrival.
